This interactive wall installation, developed in collaboration with VisualX for Red Robbin, welcomed guests to an event at the Mansion House, Dublin. The concept combined spatial interaction with musical performance—movement from attendees triggered visual responses across the wall, while a separate audio-reactive particle system responded in real time to the notes played by a flautist stationed at one end.

We designed the interaction system using IR Camera sensors to detect visitor positions and movements, triggering generative visual responses. In parallel, a custom-built audio pipeline connected to the flautist’s microphone fed clean audio into TouchDesigner, generating a reactive particle system that evolved with the music. The wall’s considerable width required camera stitching to form a seamless interactive canvas.

Tools used included Notch, TouchDesigner, lidar sensors, and a dedicated audio interface. The real-time responsiveness and dual sensory inputs (motion and audio) gave the wall a unique and immersive presence.
