This projection mapped installation transformed the historic façade of the Bank of Ireland on College Green into a dreamlike oceanic world. Lucid Depths explored the intersection of Dublin’s maritime past and the surreal energy of stained glass art which was a theme for WInter Lights 2024. Giant whales and deep-sea creatures drifted through an electrified seascape, with glowing coral and kaleidoscopic sea flora creating a vivid, immersive spectacle in the heart of the city.

We designed and animated the visuals, then projection mapped them onto the building using six seamlessly stitched projectors each driven by a networked Raspberry Pi-based player.

It was enjoyable to see how much public attention the piece drew, with many people capturing and sharing their own perspective of the projection as the building came alive each evening.
